Vishwaksen’s Gangs of Godavari, Karthikeya’s Bhaje Vaayu Vegam and Anand Devarakonda’s Gam Gam Ganesha are hitting cinemas today. Though the makers of these films know that the exit polls that are coming tomorrow and the election result that will come up on the following Tuesday are going to disrupt the collections, they have dared to get into theatres on May 31st only.
Well, if we keep the market penetration and returns of these films aside, the success of these movies is quite important for the heroes and heroines of those films for various reasons. Vishwaksen’s recent outings like Ori Devuda haven’t impressed much and Gaami did decent at box office, he needs to score big with Gangs of Godavari. Similarly, heroine Neha Shetty hasn’t scored big after DJ Tillu and this film should give a solid lift to her.
Karthikeya’s previous movie Bedurulanka is impressive, but then, he needs to solidify his presence in the industry by sealing the success with another hit. That’s where Bhaje Vaayu Vegam comes into play. The film’s heroine Ishwarya Menon hasn’t opened her account in Telugu after Spy’s flop show, so this film should give her a break.
Baby star Anand Devarakonda should prove himself with Gam Gam Ganesha, which otherwise the credit for that previous ₹100 crores gross goes to director Sai Razesh. Already his Baby heroine Vyshnavi fell flat with Love Me and now we have to see what the male lead would do. At the same time, this crime comedy has the likes of Pragati Srivatsava (Pedda Kaapu fame) who have to open their innings in Tollywood.
That way, these three films are crucial for the lead actors of those movies, and while the facts remain the same even the directors of these flicks should score a jackpot. Watch out this space for our reviews.
