We are less than 24 hours away from the release of one of the most-anticipated film releases of this year, Kalki 2898 AD. Right before the release, Kalki has been breaking a lot of records and setting new benchmarks in the Indian film industry.
It emerged as the fastest Indian film to reach $3 million pre-sales in North America. It is also the first Indian movie to sell over one lakh tickets for premieres in North America. In only the Cinemark chain, the premiere sales hit all-time record of $1.3 million. Going by these statistics, Kalki will be one of the biggest hits in the USA region.
Going by the advance sales, the trade analysts predicted that the movie may collect a gross of over Rs. 35 crore in Nizam, beating RRR (Rs. 33 crore) and Salaar (Rs. 32 crores). If the movie generates positive talk, it may break all existing records in Indian cinema.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki features Prabhas in the lead role. Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Shobana and Pasupathy played the other important roles in the movie.
