While Prabhas fans eagerly awaited the release of sci-fi epic “Kalki 2898 AD” to shatter records, Vijay Devarakonda’s not in their wildest dreams expected that their heartthrob would get trolled brutally.
Unfortunately, some have directed unwarranted trolling towards the Arjun Reddy star, for his portrayal of the legendary warrior Arjuna.
Many viewers were thrilled to see Deverakonda’s cameo in the film, praising his dynamic portrayal of the iconic character.
However, a section of the audience has criticized his casting, claiming that he does not fit the traditional image of Arjuna, as well as his voice modulation is not suit the heroics needed to portray that character.
While everyone who has watched the film is entitled to opinion, this trolling is unfair and misguided. Deverakonda has proven his acting prowess time and again, and his ability to embody complex characters is undeniable.
In “Kalki 2898 AD,” he brings a fresh and contemporary take on Arjuna, which aligns with the film’s unique blend of mythology and science fiction. So, how could one decide that Vijay hasn’t done the role aptly unless they have some preconceived notions?
It is important to remember that the Mahabharata, as a timeless epic, has been interpreted and adapted in various forms throughout history.
Each artist and storyteller brings their own unique perspective to the characters and narratives. Deverakonda’s portrayal of Arjuna is just one such interpretation and it should be appreciated for its artistic merit.
