It Is Liberating To Play Lokesh’s Characters – Nagarjuna

Nagarjuna Akkineni is one of the senior heroes in the Telugu film industry. He has worked with a lot of filmmakers, and after a long time, he has been making pan-India films. Currently, he is acting in a Tamil film titled Coolie. Superstar Rajinikanth plays the lead role in the film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Nagarjuna participated the IFFI 2024 opening ceremony and later was a part of several interactions. During the interactions, he opened up on playing roles in films like Kubera and Coolie.

Talking about Coolie, “Lokesh Kanagaraj is not a Gen Z director, but I believe that he is a Gen Z kind of filmmaker. He is a new-age filmmaker in terms of screenplay and all of that. I am enjoying working with him. It is very liberating playing his character. There are no rules. He does not say that a hero has to behave like this or a villain has to behave like this,” said Nagarjuna.

“It is the same thing working on Kubera. Sekhar Kammula is very realistic filmmaker. He is completely different in terms of filmmaking. I am enjoying it. I am experimenting it and I am liking it,” said Nagarjuna.
