Baby was a surprise blockbuster directed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN. The movie garnered so much fame and popularity that it won five awards at the Filmfare South 2024 Awards out of eight nominations.
There were reports that the movie is being planned to be remade in Bollywood. Now reports emerge that the makers have zeroed in on roping Babil Khan for the lead role played by Anand Deverakonda in the original. Babil Khan is the son of the late actor Irrfan Khan.
Earlier there were rumors that the makers approached and held discussions with star kids like Ishaan Kattar, Bobby Deol’s son Aryaman Deol and Agasthya Nanda. However, they appear to have Babil Khan on board.
While the heroine role for the Hindi remake is not finalized yet, Khushi Kapoor’s name is being considered first but Krithi Shetty of Uppena fame is the talks now. Vaishnavi Chaitanya played the lead role and she was widely praised.
The original director Sai Rajesh is directing in Hindi too and SKN will be producing it.
