UI Teaser: World @ 2040!

Ajaneesh Lokanathr Upendra made a name for himself by directing and acting in unique and different films, like A, Upendra, Raa, Super and Uppi 2. He is now back with his new film UI. He is the director and actor of the project. Today, the makers released a new teaser under the name of “warner” which raises curiosity on the movie’s story.

The teaser opens with an interesting statement, “World leaders gave us Global Warming, COVID-19, Inflation, AI, Unemployment, and Wars.” The story is set in 2040, and the teaser presents a dark satire in which people are fighting and dying over a single piece of fruit. The government distributes rice balls and mobile phones in a way that resembles flood relief, while people scavenge for food, even eating over dead bodies. The contrast between the world’s progress and the increasing poverty is sharp, with the elite enjoying the advancements. Upendra’s character is shown as a ruthless dictator, adding to the dystopian atmosphere.

Overall, UI promises to be another unique film from Upendra, offering a satirical commentary on today’s society and a grim vision of India’s future. The film is set for a worldwide release on December 20.
