Director Shankar is known for his costly approach to the films. He brings a uniqueness to the way he presents the film, and it costs him a bomb. He does something with VFX brings in a new technology, or erect a unique set. Most importantly, he will not compromise in picturizing the songs on a grand scale. He ensures that they turn out visual spectacles, and each time the audience remembers the song, they can also imagine the visuals.
Now for Game Changer, Shankar seemed to have done something similar. For the first time, Shankar spent a little less than 100 Crore rupees for all the songs in the film. The speculations on social media reveal that the director spent almost 92 Cr rupees for filming five songs.
The costliest of all the songs is Na Na Hyraana, which was shot using an infrared camera. The makers filmed the song in New Zealand for several days, and the cost of the camera is huge. Reportedly, 17.6 Cr rupees is the budget spent on the particular song.
Shankar always begins a project with a budget in mind but over time, he exceeds the budget. Most of his films after Robo are cost failures. Even for Game Changer, he seemed to have made Dil Raju spend a lot of money, just for the songs. The team is confident that all songs will be beautiful on the screen but we have to see what the public thinks.
