Nithya Menen Wanted To Quit Movies

Nithya Menen is one of the talented actors in South cinema. She made her debut with the Telugu film Ala Modalaindi and then went on to become a star actress. Very recently, she bagged a National award for the film Thiruchitrambalam. The achievement changed the progress of her career. Interestingly, she confessed about quitting films before she earned the National award.

During the promotions of her next film Kadhakikka Neramillai, the actress shared some insights into her career.

“Before I received the National Award, I decided I would complete my projects and silently quit films. I thought nobody would know where I was or what I am doing. But, I received the National Award for Thiruchitrambalam. That’s God’s plan of bribing me to stay ,” she said in the interview.

Nithya Menen thinks that being an actress made her stay away from her personality. She wanted to lead a normal life. “I wanted to be a pilot because I like to travel. I like to walk to the park and be free. But, if I become an actor, I have to give up everything. Sometimes, I ask myself if all this is worth it,” she said in the interview.

Kadhlikka Neramillai features Jayam Ravi in the lead role. The film will release on January 14th.
