Chandra Babu Small Officials Infront Of Media – Video
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu convened a high-level review meeting in Tirupathi currently. After understanding the situation on the ground, he ordered for filing cases against those responsible for the tragedy. Chandrababu personally visited the place where the incident took place and fired on the officials.
According to the police report presented during the meeting, the stampede was triggered when a woman fainted inside the Bairagipatteda area due to lack of air, prompting the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to open a gate to assist her.
This action led devotees to mistakenly believe that the gate had been opened for darshan tickets, causing a sudden rush and ensuing chaos. Chandrababu pointed out that the stampede began as soon as the gate was opened, questioning the failure in planning.
The Chief Minister expressed dissatisfaction with the authorities’ failure to anticipate and manage the influx of devotees. He fired on the Collector for failing to give necessary instructions to the officials in controlling the crowd.
Chandra Babu criticized the lack of a proper coordination strategy between the TTD officials, the police, and the revenue departments. He further questioned why a Coordination Committee meeting was not convened before the event.
