Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has been rewriting history, setting new records along the way. It has now secured its place as the highest-grossing Telugu film in its first week run during the festival season.
The previous record was held by Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, which had raked in 180 crores during its opening week. However, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam has broken this record with a worldwide gross of 203 Cr+.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film is expected to maintain its strong momentum and is on track to touch the 250 crore mark by the end of its run. In North America, the film is also performing extremely well, and it is the all-time highest grosser for Venkatesh, Anil Ravipudi, and Dil Raju.
Sankranthiki Vasthunnam amassed 2.3 M+ gross and projections indicating it will cross the 3 million mark.
