From Baboi Davos Lo Chali Ekkuva To Relentless Fight

Chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu has created a unique record of sorts by travelling to the World Economic Forum in Davos 10 times(this year’s visit being his 10th visit). No other chief minister from the South Indian states has travelled more times to Davos.

On the other hand, we had former IT minister Gudivada Amarnath, who used to come up with lame reasons when asked about why the YSR Congress government is ignoring this golden opportunity.

Back in 2023, when Amarnath was asked why he was not travelling to Davos to take part in the summit, he replied “Davos lo chali ekkuva”. This translates to “The cold temperatures are freezing in Davos”.

He went on to add that the temperatures often reach -5 and -10° in Davos making it hard to sustain. On top of that, he used to Chandra Babu by saying the TDP chief went multiple times to the summit, but could not really fetch anything.

The hard fact is that the WEF in Davos gives the opportunity to present brand AP on the global level and provides a platform for the government representatives to reach out to global giants, without having to travel to each nation individually. This is the reason why Chandrababu still places so much emphasis on the summit and takes the hardship, even at this age of 74.

From trash talking about this world, famous Sumit to having active representation of the chief minister and the IT Minister, the geopolitical scene of Andhra Pradesh really has come a long way.

Coming to the statistics, Jagan had gone only once to this Davos summit and that was back in 2022. On the other hand, former Telangana CM KCR did not even go once to this summit.
