Another Bollywood Actor Joins SSMB 29

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated film, SSMB 29, directed by SS Rajamouli, was launched earlier this month. Since then, there have been several exciting updates about the project.

Amid rumors of her involvement in the film, Priyanka Chopra recently landed in Hyderabad and reportedly participated in a look test. According to the latest sources, another Bollywood actor, John Abraham, will be playing a key role in the movie.

Initially, the makers planned to cast Prithviraj Sukumaran for this role. However, things did not materialize, and Prithviraj had to back out. Now, it is reported that John Abraham has replaced him in the film.

This will mark John’s debut in Telugu cinema and his first collaboration with Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu. On another note, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra have previously shared the screen in films like Karam and the 2008 blockbuster, Dostana. Reportedly, John and Priyanka will also share a few scenes together in SSMB 29, and these sequences will be shot in Hyderabad.

Touted to be an action-adventure film set against a forest backdrop, SSMB 29 is expected to begin its regular shoot soon. The story is penned by Vijayendra Prasad, with music composed by MM Keeravani. The film is being produced by KL Narayana.
