’11 Goats’, YCP Fans Deeply Hurt With Laila!

Vishwak Sen’s upcoming romantic and action entertainer Laila, which is slated for release on February 14th, had its pre-release event in grand manner on Sunday with Megastar Chiranjeevi attending it as the chief guest.

While Chiranjeevi’s speech turned out to be the major highlight for the event because he spoke briefly about Prajarajyam and Janasena parties and also officially announced his next film with Anil Ravipudi besides praising Vishwak Sen, another incident that grabbed the attention was comedian Prudhvi’s indirect satire on YSR Congress party. He played the role of Mekala Satyam in this film.

In his speech, Prudhvi indirectly mocked YSR Congress party by referring to a scene from the film. He stated that there is an episode in which there are total 150 goats in the beginning and later end up with just 11. Though Prudhvi claimed that the scene is just a coincidence, it can be understood that he was taking a dig at YSRCP’s downfall from 150 seats in 2019 to 11 seats in 2024.

This comment didn’t go well with YCP folks as they felt that Prudhvi was intentionally targeting their party’s humiliating defeat. Hence, they decided to boycott Laila and started a campaign on social media platforms. The team hasn’t yet responded on this controversy.

It is a known fact that Prudhvi actively canvassed for YSRCP before 2019 and was rewarded with a respectable position in SVB channel of Tirumala after coming to power. After he was mired in a controversy involving misconduct with a woman employee, YSRCP high command sacked him. Before 2024 elections, Prudhvi joined Janasena and campaigned for NDA coalition.
