Actor Vishwak Sen had a mixed 2024 as his movies Gaami gets good response where as Gangs of Godavari and Mechanic Rocky failed to perform as expected at the box office. In order to strike back hard, he is now coming up with his new outing, Laila, which will hit the screens this Friday (February 14).
The film, which has been censored today, has a runtime of 2 hours 16 minutes and was given an “A” certificate. After watching the trailer and teaser, many people opined that the film has ‘adult’ comedy. Now, with the censor board given an A certificate, it is quite evident that the movie banks on adult comedy and sequences. Many people on social media opined it to be a setback for the makers.
Laila is not an action film with a lot of gore or violence. So, the only reason it might have been given the A certificate is that the scenes are suitable for people over 18 years of age. Already, a lot of trolling from YCP supporters has been riding on the film due to some unfortunate incidents that happened in the last few days. Now, with it being certified with an A rating, it has to be seen if families would show interest in watching the movie.
Laila features Akanksha Sharma as the female lead. Ram Narayan directed the project and Shine Screens bankrolled it.
