Noted Actress Reveals Bullying Experience on Telugu Film Sets

Shweta Basu Prasad needs no introduction to the Telugu audiences. She was shot to fame with her popular dialogue “Yekaada” from the super hit film Kotha Bangaru Lokam.

Incidentally, that was also her debut film in Telugu. Later, she was seen in various Telugu movies like Ride, Kasko, Kalavar King and Vijetha.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Shweta Basu revealed that she was bullied on the set of a Telugu film. She said that she was constantly bullied for her height because her co-star was taller.

She stated that she was 5’2 while the co-star was 5’11 or 6 feet tall. Thus, everyone used to constantly remind her of her height and bully her.

She went on to say that the co-star wouldn’t speak Telugu properly and still, no one used to call him out but she used to get bullied for something which she has no control over. “It’s the only set where I was really bullied, very bad,” she added.

Shweta Basu is currently awaiting the release of her new series Oops Ab Kya, which will premiere on Jio Hotstar on February 20.
