First Look: Matt Damon As Odysseus In Nolan’s The Odyssey

The filmmaker Christopher Nolan has a great fan base all over. He enthralled the audience with his complex storytelling and nonlinear narrative in most of his films. Nolan’s Interstellar rerelease recently and has become an all-time release record with collections.

Nolan’s next film The Odyssey already gained huge attention. The first look featuring Matt Damon came out and he will be seen as the Greek champion Odysseus on his journey home after the Trojan War. It is one of the oldest stories.

Earlier Nolan said, ‘The Odyssey is a mythic action epic shot across the world using brand new Imax film technology. The film brings Homer’s foundational saga to Imax film screens for the first time.’

The film’s official X account revealed Damon’s role with the post, ‘Matt Damon is Odysseus. A film by Christopher Nolan, #TheOdysseyMovie is in theaters July 17, 2026.’

The Odyssey marks the third collaboration between Nolan and Damon after ‘Oppenheimer’ and ‘Interstellar’

The film features popular actors like Tom Holland, Matt Damon, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o. It is heard that The Odyssey will have a runtime of over three hours.
