The trade experts and fans are surprised to see the film carrying a big buzz. Until the film’s trailer was unveiled yesterday, Empuraan existed but there was no hype supporting the release. Even after the trailer’s release, the film did not entirely make a flip. But today, the advance bookings tell an altogether new story.

Some netizens are speculating that this sudden surge in bookings might be a technical glitch, as the film’s hype outside the Malayalam industry isn’t as strong.

Meanwhile, Prithviraj also tweeted about Empuraan selling 96K tickets per hour, creating a new record. It remains to be seen whether this momentum sustains until the release or if it’s truly a glitch.

The positive factor working for the film is that the big stars across languages showed their support for the film. For instance, Superstar Rajinikanth appreciated the film’s trailer on social media. And then, since Prithviraj is acting in SSMB29, that factor is also pushing the film beyond.

If the same trend really continues, it is no surprise that Empuraan emerges as a big blockbuster at the box office.
