It’s Not Samantha, But Kethika For ‘Oo Antava’

Post her divorce, Samantha was brutally trolled when she accepted to dance to the special song, Oo Antava, from the film Pushpa: The Rise. But do you know that she was not the first choice to do the song? The film’s producer, Ravi Yerneni confirmed the same yesterday during the pre-release event of Robinhood.

Speaking at the event, Ravi revealed that the team planned to rope in Kethika Sharma for Oo Antava even before they initiated discussions with Samantha. However, it did not work then but she has been brought forward to do the special song, Adhi Dha Surprise in the film Robinhood.

“I personally thank Ketika Sharma garu for doing this song. We wanted to approach her for Pushpa 1 even before we approached Samantha. It did not work out then. But, we got a chance to work with her in this film. I thank her for being a part of this film,” revealed the producer.

In fact, Ketika’s song from Robinhood is contributing to the film’s hype currently. The song set the social media on fire. Although there is criticism for the song, it is helping the movie gain attention.

Robinhood, starring Nithiin and Sreeleela, and directed by Venky Kudumula is hitting the screens on the 28th of this month.

But, honestly, Oo Antava looked like tailor-made for Samantha at that time, given the situations she was facing. She brought in a lot of energy along with hype to Pushpa back then.
