What Went Wrong With Chiru-Venky Project?

Venky Kudumula is one of the young filmmakers in Telugu who received an opportunity to work with Chiranjeevi. Megastar himself called Venky after liking Bheeshma. The director was pretty excited and shared an idea, too. But, things went wrong in no time and the project has been called off. During the promotions of Robinhood, Venky gave an insight into what went wrong.

Speaking about this, Venky explained, “After Bheeshma, I developed a story for Chiranjeevi garu. When I first shared the idea, he was very excited. As a huge Chiranjeevi garu fan, I wanted the film to be extraordinary. So, I took a lot of time refining the story and screenplay. But somehow, I couldn’t meet his expectations. The story didn’t turn out as we had envisioned. I told him I’d come up with another concept and stepped back.”

Although the project didn’t materialize at the time, Venky remains optimistic about directing Chiranjeevi in the future. Even before the projects with Anil Ravipudi, Vashisth and Srikanth Odela came to the limelight, Chiru desired to work with Venky. For now, the director has to wait and watch for the result of Robinhood.

Nithiin and Sreeleela plays the lead roles in Robinhood, scheduled for a grand release on March 28th.
