Vikram Should Work With Telugu Director!

Vikram is a versatile actor in Indian cinema who has never gotten the recognition he deserves. However dedicated and hardworking he is, the kind of scripts he chooses will limit the success that he wants to achieve. Now, the same case has been repeated once again with his recent release, Veera Dheera Shoora. Directed by Arun Kumar, the film was acclaimed by critics but failed to achieve commercial success. Probably, Vikram should shift his focus to working with Telugu directors to claim success.

For instance, in Veera Dhoora Shoora, Vikram’s portrayal of Kali was raw and intense. The actor’s effort in performing on the screen is evident but the success it should get is nowhere to be seen. Despite the film’s innovative take and Vikram’s powerful performance, it struggled to attract audiences to theaters.

A major factor was the lack of proper promotions, which failed to create enough buzz before the release. The movie was not promoted enough even in the Telugu states. Additionally, the film’s content, which resonated more with a niche audience, limited its reach. Vikram’s dedication to experimenting with roles continues to earn him respect, even when the films themselves do not achieve commercial success. But, he can not just move ahead with a similar approach, especially when his contemporaries are doing different things.

In such a scenario, the ideal case is that Vikram must find a Telugu director. Currently, heroes like Karthi, Vijay, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, and Dulquer Salmaan achieved unimaginable success when worked with a Telugu director. Irrespective of their image in Tamil cinema, these actors’ recognition grew leaps and bounds. Very soon, Suriya is also debuting in Telugu.

In all cases, Vikram also should change his approach and put an effort in bringing a Telugu director on board to direct his next. The audiences are already bored of watching Vikram in performance oriented roles and have an opinion that he will shine big while the film, on the whole will take a back seat. To erase this opinion, Vikram must do something more than anyone can imagine.
