But, the big suspense still remains on who plays Nani’s mother in the film.

One of the key roles in The Paradise after Nani’s character is that of the mother. The character, depicted as intense and bold in the teaser, requires a powerful performance. Understandably, many senior Tollywood actresses have declined the role, as it is unconventional and challenging. Initially, Ramya Krishna was considered, but despite seeming positive about the story, she eventually opted out.

The latest update suggests that the filmmakers are looking for a middle-aged actress from another language to portray the mother. Although the name has not been revealed yet, auditions and look tests are reportedly underway. Bringing in someone unfamiliar to the Telugu audience seems like a strategic choice, as it avoids the risk of preconceived notions and potential criticism. There are rumors of a Marathi actress being considered, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
