The countdown has begun for HIT 3: The Third Case, which is set to release in just five days. Interestingly, this has become one of the few recent star-hero films to open advance bookings so early on platforms like BookMyShow. Usually, producers struggle to launch bookings even one or two days in advance due to delays caused by negotiations with distributors and exhibitors. But Nani seems to have planned everything meticulously. Even overseas hard drives were dispatched well in advance without any last-minute chaos.
Now, coming to the topic of ticket pricing — in Telangana, HIT 3 is sticking to the standard permitted rates. Multiplex tickets will be priced at ₹295, and single-screen tickets will be at ₹175, as usual. No special permissions are needed for this. However, things are different in Andhra Pradesh. There, multiplex ticket prices range around ₹177, while single-screen rates vary between ₹110 and ₹145.
That’s why recent films like Robinhood and Mad Square managed to secure special G.O.s for increased ticket pricing in select regions. So, the question now is — what will Nani do for HIT 3? If he applies for a hike, permissions are likely to be granted without much delay.
If the film receives positive word-of-mouth, there should be no problem implementing a price hike. We saw this happen clearly during the Sankranthi season. Even though May doesn’t match the festive boost of Sankranthi, exhibitors are currently struggling due to the dry box office, and HIT 3 might be their big hope to bounce back.
Being a crime thriller, the film may not attract many family audiences — its primary support will come from the masses and youth. If it can impress them, a ticket price hike should be well received. Let’s wait and see what strategy the team goes for.
