When a star works in a Rajamouli film, they usually avoid any other commitments. It’s not a strict rule from Rajamouli, but actors voluntarily stay away from other scripts and distractions, as these films require full focus and come with long schedules. A rare exception was Ram Charan doing Acharya during RRR.
Right now, Mahesh Babu is busy with SSMB29 under Rajamouli’s direction. He recently took a summer break due to the extreme heat and paused work for a month. Amid this, rumors began circulating that Mahesh is already considering SSMB30 and might team up with director Buchi Babu Sana.
However, these rumors don’t hold water. Sources confirm that though Buchi Babu has some storylines in mind, he is currently working only on Peddi with Ramcharan. For Buchi Babu, Peddi is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and he’s taking extra care at every step. He doesn’t have the bandwidth to think about other scripts or meet other heroes right now.
On the other hand, Mahesh Babu’s schedule is also packed. There is no clarity yet on when SSMB29 will wrap up, or whether it will have sequels or be split into parts. Either way, it will take at least two years to complete. During this time, Mahesh is unlikely to commit to any other project.
So the buzz about Mahesh and Buchi Babu meeting and planning a new film seems completely baseless. Fans are better off treating this as just a rumor for now. If something official comes out later, that’s good news — but for now, both are too busy with their current commitments.
