The production house claimed that “sensitive conditions in the country” led them to cancel the theatre release. But many in the industry are questioning this reason. While there have been some tense developments in recent news, cinemas across India are still running normally.
Distributors, who had planned shows and made deals, are now angry and frustrated. Many had hoped this film would bring some buzz back to the box office. Now, refund processes are underway for tickets that were already sold.
