Another directional attempt from Hero

Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen does not need to prove himself as an actor, but he has to prove his directorial skills. Although his debut directorial, Falaknuma Das, became a hit, his second film as a director failed. Now, Vishwaksen is back as a director with the upcoming movie Cult. As he is going through a rough phase, there are doubts about whether Vishwak will score a success this time.

At a time when he can make big moves as an actor after the success of Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, Vishwak took a bold step by wearing multiple hats as actor, director, and producer for Falaknuma Das. The film marked a turning point. Not only did it earn him recognition as a performer, but it also established him as a director with promise. However, his attempt to stand as a director with Das Ka Dhamki could not win laurels at the box office.

With too much criticism coming his way as a director, Vishwak took a step back and focused on his acting career. However, despite big attempts, he scored back-to-back flops. Laila especially met with immense criticism. Vishwak had to apologize to fans, promising to make better choices publicly.

Vishwak is filming Funky, directed by Anudeep, known for his light-hearted entertainers. But what’s drawing more attention is an upcoming project titled Cult. Interestingly, the film is being produced by Sai Kiran, the son of former Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav. Ravi Basrur of KGF fame is scoring the music of the movie.

Vishwak is setting the ground perfectly for his directorial comeback, but at the same time, he also wants to strike a balance between the actor and director existing within. Only if he scores a hit with Cult, will people appreciate his directorial skills, contributing to his dream attempt of making a sequel to Falaknuma Das.
