Pushpa 2 is one of the biggest hits across the nation. Starring Icon star Allu Arjun in the lead role, it is also the presence of Fahadh Faasil that truly elevated the character of Bunny. Interestingly, the character Shekhawat that Fahadh played was initially offered to Nara Rohith. At the time of Pushpa making, the rumors came in that Rohith is considered for a key role. However, he addressed the rumors during the promotions of Bhairavam.
Nara Rohith was approached to play Shekhawat character. When Sukumar pitched it to him, the actor was excited and was even ready to proceed further. But, the team, however, changed their mind and brought in Fahadh Faasil to the table. Fahadh has put up an incredible performance but he was also criticized for taking up the role, especially after the second part.
Meanwhile, Rohith stated that Fahadh did amazing in the film and wondered if he could have matched that performance. Also, there was no particular reason according to Rohith, as to why the makers moved to Fahadh.
Probably, as the span of the project got extended, the team might have decided to bring in actors who are famous across the nation. Fahadh, at that time became a pan-Indian star with multiple hits. And he was a value addition to the project without any doubt.
Meanwhile, Nara Rohith’s Bhairavam is hitting the screens on this Friday. It also features Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Manchu Manoj. Directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, the film is produced by KK Radha Mohan.
