SSMB 29: Nana Says No, Madhavan Says Yes

Superstar Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli are working on SSMB29, and so far, no official announcement has been made regarding the film. Despite that, some leaks on social media and some from the film’s sources tell us a few insights about the film. Interestingly, Madhavan seems to be a new addition to the film, while Nana Patekar declined the offer.

What’s surprising is Nana Patekar’s refusal to be a part of SSMB29. Although there is no official confirmation regarding the same, the speculation in the offing is that he was approached to play Mahesh’s dad in the film, but he declined it despite a lucrative 20 Cr rupees remuneration. At a time when he was a part of a good-for-nothing project like Housefully 5, many wonder why he is not willing to do SSMB29, considering it would be a minimum guarantee film, as it comes from SS Rajamouli.

Having said that, there is no clarity if Nana was really approached as there could be another reason behind it. Meanwhile, Madhavan recently agreed to join the film’s cast and the details about his character are kept under wraps.

On the other side, Priyanka Chopra is playing key role while Prithviraj Sukumaran is doing the lead antagonist. For both of them and even for Madhavan, it is the first time working with Rajamouli.
