Ever since Akhanda, the resurgence of Nandamuri Balakrishna has been unstoppable. While Balayya brought the fire, it was Thaman who added the fuel, powering the mass elevation with thunderous soundtracks. The duo’s combination has clicked big time, and fans are hoping for another banger in their next outing.
Balakrishna is currently enjoying one of the strongest phases of his career, delivering consecutive hits and connecting across generations. From Akhanda to Daaku Maharaaj, Thaman’s scores have elevated Balayya’s intensified mass screen presence like never before.
The upcoming NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Vriddhi Cinemas—the makers of Ram Charan’s Peddhi, has been officially announced as Balayya’s next after Akhanda 2. While the makers haven’t officially confirmed the music director, Thaman took to X (formerly Twitter) to send his wishes to Balakrishna and Gopichand. Gopichand’s reply, “Let’s rock,” feels like a strong hint that Thaman is indeed on board, reuniting the successful NBK-Thaman duo for the sixth time, marking a rare double hat-trick collaboration.
Balakrishna recently wrapped a month-long schedule in Georgia for Akhanda 2, his fourth collaboration with Boyapati Sreenu. He’s returning to India today to celebrate his birthday tomorrow amidst fans and family. Meanwhile, the teaser of Akhanda 2 is set to release this evening.
Thaman, on the other hand, is juggling one of the most anticipated films of the year, Pawan Kalyan and Sujeeth’s They Call Him OG. The first single, sung by Simbu, is expected to drop soon.
