For the last couple of days, it has been widely rumoured that Allu Arjun will be teaming up with Malayalam director Basil Joseph for a new project. The latest buzz indicates that the duo would be teaming up for one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema, Shaktimaan.
Shaktimaan is one of the most-loved television series among Indians back in the 90s and early 2000s. Starring Mukesh Khanna in the lead role, Shakitmaan is a superhero series that enjoys a cult following among Indian audiences.
Initially, Basil planned to adapt this series into a film with Ranveer Singh as the lead actor. An official announcement was also made. But for some reason, it never materialised. Now, with Allu Arjun reportedly coming on board, the Shaktimaan film is trending once again in the media circles.
As of now, no official announcement has been made, and the news still remains a rumour. However, fans are more than excited by this news as it will turn out to be a huge project for Allu Arjun.
They are also circulating the video of OG Shaktimaan Mukesh Khanna saying that Allu Arjun might be a good fit to play the role. Amid all these speculations, we have to wait for an official announcement from the makers.
Currently, Allu Arjun is working on his next film with Atlee, which features Deepika Padukone as the female lead. Sun Pictures is bankrolling this mega project.
