Manchu Vishnu’s most expensive movie to date, Kannappa, is one of the keenly awaited movies of Tollywood. The film’s ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and several other popular Indian film stars, has further raised the expectations.
Amid massive expectations and excitement, Kannappa’s theatrical trailer made its way to social media on Saturday evening. The 2 minute 54 second-long trailer has packed a punch with the epic visuals, mostly shot in the picturesque locales of New Zealand.
Coming to the story that unfolds in several impactful glimpses, Manchu Vishnu plays an atheist named Thinnadu. He lives in a tribal hamlet situated on a massive, lush green mountain. How Thinnadu transforms into a Lord Siva devotee when a group of evil warlords attacks Thinnadu’s hamlet to steal a sacred Shivaling.
Prabhas, as Rudra, the lieutenant of Lord Siva (Akshay Kumar), plays an instrumental role in transforming Thinnadu into Lord Siva’s cult devotee, Kannappa. Prabhas adds a tinge of poignance with his magnificent charm. His simple yet deeper dialogues elevate his heroism. Mollywood star Mohanlal as Kirata, Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati, and Mohan Babu as a Lord Siva devotee leave an impact in the trailer.
The marvelous cinematography, the action choreography, and the grand production design are some of the highlights of the Kannappa trailer. The film, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Vishnu Manchu, is hitting theaters on June 27 in multiple Indian languages.
