History Created: South Africa Win First ICC Trophy in 27 Yrs

Over the years, South Africa has been regarded as one of the most unlucky teams in the cricketing arena. They had the history of coming close to lifting the trophy, but have historically failed to take the final plunge and subsequently becoming one of the most unsuccessful teams in the world.

However, that is not the case now as South Africa have created history by winning their first ICC trophy in 27 years.

In what has been a historically significant WTC Championship final that was held in England between Australia and South Africa, the latter emerged victorious.

After being set a big target by Australia in the fourth innings, South Africa needed a big chase, and this is when Aiden Makram and Bavuma came to the rescue.

South Africa could chase down a pretty significant target in the fourth innings and became the new champions of the WTC. This is the first ICC tournament win that they had in their history, and this must be a truly special one for everyone involved.
