A duty-bound government officer (Nagarjuna) joins forces with a beggar (Dhanush) in his mission to stop a corrupt, and politically influential oligarch (Jim Sarbh) from taking his business empire to greater heights. However, in a thrilling twist, the beggar disappears all of a sudden, leaving hundreds of crores and the government officer’s mission at stake.
The above plotline might appear to be straight out of a director who is well-versed in the crime-ridden socio-political dramas. However, coming from someone like Sekhar Kammula, who once made breezy entertainers like Happy Days, Anand, Godavari, and Fidaa, Kuberaa surely promises an intriguing watch in the cinemas.
Nagarjuna as a public servant on a mission, Dhanush in an author-backed role of a beggar-turned-samaritan, Rashmika as a confidant, and Jim Sarbh as a filthy rich and greedy businessman together make this rich-versus-poor social commentary look interesting and authentic with their realistic acts.
Kuberaa’s trailer is technically enriched with Devi Sri Prasad’s pulsating background score, Niketh Bommi’s impactful visuals, and Karthika Srinivas’ racy cuts. The production values by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao make Kuberaa a grand spectacle. Watch out for a solid drama that awaits you in cinemas on June 20, 2025.
