Nithiin and his father, Sudhakar Reddy, made some noise in the distribution circuit when they bought the rights of Vikram. Fortunately, the film brought them huge profits, marking their comeback to success. However, now, they are facing losses with Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Mani Ratnam. Especially, the result of Thug Life is more worrying for them at a time when Nithiin is also facing the heat of a failure in the form of Robinhood.
Nithiin’s last film, Robinhood, was not produced by his father. But the film’s failure, in contrast with the huge expectations, will be a matter of concern. The public talk is that Nithiin’s father earned huge money with Vikram, and he lost it in producing Macherla Niyojakavargam as well as ExtraOrdinaryMan with Nithiin.
Similarly, he minted huge profits by releasing Amaran in Telugu and reportedly lost the money by investing it in Thug Life. Sudhakar Reddy bought Thug Life by spending 18 Cr rupees, but in reality, the first day’s revenue is just 1 Cr rupees. Considering the negative talk that the film gained, there are no chances of revival or recovery.
Up next, Nithiin has Thammudu in the direction of Venu Sriram. The film was postponed recently and the actor hopes for a comeback to success with this film.
