Replaced & Removed: Top Actresses Losing Major Offers

Actors losing some good films which were initially offered to them is quite common in the film industry. Also, sometimes, actors come on board for a film and will walk out in the middle of the production due to many reasons. These kinds of incidents happen rarely, but they do happen. Let us have a look at such recent instances in the film industry.

Shruti Haasan:

Shruti Haasan was originally paired alongside Adivi Sesh in his upcoming film Dacoit. Posters and a teaser featuring Shruti were also released. However, the actress walked out of the project after shooting some portions due to creative differences. She was replaced by Mrunal Thakur. Dacoit is slated for release on December 25.

Sreeleela:

Though she has done many films in her career span, Sreeleela has also dropped many offers that have come in her way. She was supposed to play the female lead in Naveen Polishetty’s Anaganaga Oka Raju. However, she walked out of the project and was later replaced by Meenakshi Chaudhary.

Sreeleela also walked out of Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin, after shooting some key portions. With no option left, the makers started searching for another actress and finally roped in Bhagyashri Bhorse for the role.

Pooja Hegde:

Pooja Hegde has been stuck in a series of flops over the last few years. Unfortunately, she is also being replaced by other trending actresses due to this flop streak. She was reportedly considered for the female lead role in Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh. But for some reason, the makers opted for Sreeleeela in the last minute.

Recently, it was heard that Pooja Hegde was replaced by young Malayalam actress Mamitha Baiju in Dhanush’s upcoming film with director Vignesh Raja.

Deepika Padukone:

Deepika Padukone was initially considered for the female lead role in Prabhas’s Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. But Sandeep had to back out of his decision due to Deepika’s demands. Later, she was replaced by Tripti Dimri.
