Megastar Chiranjeevi has issued an emotional statement mourning the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao. Reflecting on their shared legacy, Chiranjeevi recalled how their careers began together and how their bond grew over the years.
“Kota Srinivasa Rao wasn’t just a co-actor; he was a friend, a mentor, and an endless source of wisdom and humor,” Chiranjeevi said. “We both started with Pranam Khareedu, and from then on, he remained a towering presence in my professional life.”
Describing him as a complete artist, Chiranjeevi praised Kota’s unmatched range, from comedy to villainy, from rustic roles to dignified elders, no role was beyond his reach. “He was a master of dialects, a chameleon who could slip into any character seamlessly. He brought life into every line and depth into every role.”
What stood out most, Chiranjeevi said, was Kota Srinivasa Rao’s off-screen personality. “He was endlessly entertaining. His witty remarks would light up the room. We always looked forward to shoots with him, knowing the day would be filled with laughter and sharp insight.”
Chiranjeevi noted that Kota’s absence leaves a profound void: “This loss is too great. Not just to his family, but to cinema itself. Actors of his caliber are once in a lifetime.”
