Breaking: Fish Venkat Passes Away

Popular Telugu actor Fish Venkat, known for his comedic timing and unique Telangana accent, passed away on July 18, 2025, after battling severe kidney and liver failure. The actor, whose real name was Venkat Raj, had been undergoing regular dialysis for months and was recently placed on a ventilator following a rapid health decline.

His daughter Shravanthi had earlier made a public appeal for financial support, revealing that a kidney transplant costing ₹50 lakh was urgently needed. While some reports falsely claimed that Prabhas had come forward to help, the family later clarified that it was a scam. However, actors like Pawan Kalyan and Vishwak Sen and minister from Telangana Govt did offer modest financial aid.

Despite medical efforts and multiple appeals to the film fraternity, a suitable kidney donor couldn’t be found, and his condition deteriorated. Venkat’s death has left the Telugu industry in mourning, with fans and fellow actors paying tribute to him who made a mark in films like Gabbar Singh, Adhurs, and DJ Tillu.
