Lokesh to Put Kaithi 2 on Hold for a ‘Big’ Multistarrer?

Superstar Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s highly anticipated film Coolie was released last week and received mixed reviews from the audience. There were huge expectations around this project, but people opined that Lokesh delivered a sub-par project from a writing and direction perspective.

For a long time, it was reported that Lokesh would team up with Karthi for Kaithi 2, after completing Coolie. However, as per the latest buzz in the Tamil media, he is currently focusing on a multi-starrer project with Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, and it could potentially be his next project and not Kaithi 2. If this is true, it would be shocking news for fans who were waiting for Kaithi 2, wanting to see Lokesh get back to his strong zone of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).

In fact, Lokesh was supposed to work on Kaithi 2 after Leo. However, Lokesh narrated a story to Rajinikanth, and Coolie fell in place. Ahead of Coolie’s release, Lokesh stated in many interviews that his next film will be Kaithi 2. Kaithi was the first film of LCU, and it had a perfect lead to its second part. So, even fans are eagerly waiting to see the sequel happen soon.
