Thama Teaser: Rashmika Turns ‘Vampire’!

After the successes of Stree, Bhediya, Munjya and Stree 2, Maddock Films is expanding its horror universe with the latest outing, Thama. This time, Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddique and Rashmika Mandanna are joining this cinematic universe with this movie. The teaser of this movie was unveiled today.

The teaser opens with the voiceover of Ayushmann, where he says, “Will you be able to live without me for 100 years?” to which Rashmika replies, “100 years? I cannot live without you for a second.” Then, we get glimpses of the world of Thama, and in the end, we get introduced to the film’s villain, Nawazuddin Siddique.

Touted to be a vampire comedy, Thama features Ayushmann as a historian who is on a mission to trace the historical roots of vampire folklore in India. The film takes place in two timelines simultaneously, one in the modern era and the other in the period era. The teaser looks interesting and reminds us of films like Stree and Munjya. It remains to be seen if Thama will also join that elite list and continue the success streak of Maddock’s horror cinematic universe.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thama is slated for worldwide release during Diwali this year. Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are bankrolling the project.
