Here Are Theatrical & OTT Releases Of This Week

Last week’s biggest clash between Coolie and War 2 ended up as major disappointment as both films garnered mixed talk from the audience. Once again, the film industry is looking for that one massive hit which can bring more footfalls and good profits for producers. However, there are no big releases this week and only a few small films are clashing at the box office. Here is a look at them.

1. Paradha:

Starring Anupama Parameswaran, Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha in the lead roles, this social drama is directed by Praveen Kandregula of “Cinema Bandi” and “Shubham” fame. The makers are promoting it in a huge way and are expressing confidence in its content. The film will hit the screens on August 22.

2. University Paper Leak:

Senior actor-director R. Narayana Murthy, who is known for his revolutionary films, is returning to cinemas with his new film, University Paper Leak. This social drama is also slated for release on August 22.

3. Stalin (Re-Release):

On the occasion of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s birthday on August 22, his 2006 film Stalin is being re-released in theatres. This commercial action drama features Trisha as the female lead and is directed by AR Murugadoss.
