Teja Sajja’s Mirai is sustaining excellent momentum at the box office. After a strong ₹27.2 Cr gross on Day 1, the film witnessed growth on Saturday, closing Day 2 at ₹55.6 Cr worldwide gross. Second Day being better after a strong opening is an unusual trend in Tollywood and indicates solid word of mouth.
Crucially, the producers have not implemented ticket price hikes to get more footfalls. The numbers would have been huge with Price Hikes.
Sunday is expected to post the best single-day numbers of the run so far, with breakeven likely to be achieved in all major circuits by the weekend.
In North America, Mirai has already grossed $1.3M. Saturday alone contributed $500K by 11 PM EST, pushing the film past breakeven in the region. The Hindi version is showing a steady upward trend, with encouraging weekend advances.
Backed by People Media Factory, the film benefits from Karthik Gattamneni’s Itihasa-driven narrative, high production values, and Gowra Hari’s impactful score—all of which are translating into strong repeat value.
With no immediate competition in the upcoming week, Mirai is expected to consolidate further and emerge as a major profit venture.
