In recent years, high ticket prices have become a big concern for movie lovers. Many films, big or small, have been released with increased ticket rates, which has become an added burden for audiences. Only a few times, when the hikes were not approved, audiences got some relief.
This trend started with SS Rajamouli’s films, which had large budgets and massive production scales. Viewers accepted the higher ticket prices because of the grand experience his movies offered. But later, many producers started using the same reason for their films, which audiences felt was unfair.
Rajamouli is currently making a globe-trotting action adventure with Mahesh Babu, planned for release in March 2027. Before that, he is bringing Baahubali The Epic — a new version that combines both parts of the Baahubali franchise into one film. The movie has been recut, remastered, and will release worldwide on October 31. The makers say it will be the best-looking version ever made.
Since it’s a Rajamouli film, many expected higher ticket prices again. But sources close to the team confirmed that there will be no ticket hikes this time. Baahubali The Epic will release at regular prices in all theatres, both in India and overseas. Even in countries where Telugu films usually have higher rates, this movie will stick to standard prices.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, and Tamannaah. It is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, with music by MM Keeravani. The film will release in multiple large-screen formats like IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, D-Box, and EpiQ, offering the best visual experience at regular prices.
