Pooja Hegde Likely to Join Nani in Sujeeth’s Next

Pooja Hegde, who was active in Telugu cinema a few years ago, is gradually returning to the industry. After a three-year break, she signed her first Telugu film with Dulquer Salmaan. The project, directed by debutant Ravi Nelakuditi, is said to be a love story.

Now, reports suggest she may join another Telugu film. Nani, currently shooting for The Paradise directed by Srikanth Odela, is set to release the film on March 26, 2026. He has also announced a new project with director Sujeeth, known for Run Raja Run, Saaho and They Call Him OG. The film was officially launched recently in Hyderabad and is currently referred to as #NaniXSujeeth.

The project was first announced in April 2024 as Bloody Romeo under DVV Entertainment. However, the earlier production banner reportedly stepped back due to budget issues. Niharika Entertainment, in collaboration with Unanimous Productions, has now taken over. Niharika Entertainment, led by Venkat Boyanapalli, previously produced Nani’s Shyama Singha Roy, which was a hit.

The film is expected to be a dark comedy with Sujeeth’s signature action. Shooting is likely to start after Nani wraps up The Paradise. The makers are planning a release by the end of 2026.

Pooja Hegde has reportedly been approached for the female lead. If she joins, it will mark her first collaboration with Nani. After the success of They Call Him OG, Sujeeth is expanding his cinematic universe. While it is unclear if Nani’s film will be part of it, the director recently hinted that it could be connected.
