Samantha Ruth Prabhu is known not just for her acting but also for her consistent philanthropic work. Through her NGO, Pratyusha Support, founded in 2014, she has been helping underprivileged women and children with medical and emotional support.
This Diwali, Pratyusha Support organized its annual Light of Joy event in Hyderabad. The celebration brought together over 250 children from various orphanages and NGOs for an evening filled with warmth and happiness.
The event included games, fun activities, and a “Gratitude Activity” where every child wrote down something they were thankful for. As night fell, hundreds of diyas were lit, symbolizing hope and new beginnings. Samantha and co-founder Dr. Manjula Anagani spent time with the children, interacting and sharing the festive joy.
Over the years, Pratyusha Support has conducted vaccination and awareness drives, supplied medicines and nutrition to orphan homes, and supported several children with critical illnesses. The organization funds surgeries, assists newborn and heart patients, and runs menstrual hygiene programs.
On the work front, Samantha recently appeared in a cameo in Subham. Her upcoming films include Maa Inti Bangaram and Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom. Her home production Maa Inti Bangaram is set to begin shooting soon.
