Globe Trotter: Meet Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra as MANDAKINI

After unveiling Prithviraj Sukumaran’s intense look as Kumbha, the makers of Globe Trotter dropped the next big reveal, Priyanka Chopra Jonas as Mandakini. The poster presents her in a fiery action avatar, draped in a yellow saree, leaping mid-air and firing a gun with explosions lighting up the background.

SS Rajamouli took to X (formerly Twitter) to introduce her character, writing, “The woman who redefined Indian cinema on the global stage. Welcome back, Desi Girl! Can’t wait for the world to witness your myriad shades of Mandakini.”

This film marks Priyanka’s big comeback to Indian cinema after six years, and teaming up with Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu makes it an even bigger event.

During a fan chat on X, Priyanka was asked about her experience working with Mahesh Babu. She replied, “The best way to join Telugu cinema is to do it with the greats! Mahesh is a legend and a dear friend.”

For now, the makers are keeping her character’s equation under wraps. Whether she’s paired opposite Mahesh or Prithviraj will be known at the grand reveal on November 15. But the character names, Kumbha and Mandakini, clearly hint that Rajamouli is again tapping into Indian mythology for inspiration.
