Director Mahesh Babu P shared the personal memories that shaped his film Andhra King Taluka. In a conversation with Gulte Pro, he explained that many emotional elements in the film come directly from his own life.
The director said that he has always been fascinated by the love that fans have for their favourite stars. He added that some scenes in the movie, like the touching moment of a fan holding a hand or the emotional Arati Pallu scene, wes taken from real experiences he had when he was younger.
One of the most memorable stories he shared was from his engineering days. During the Praja Rajyam campaign, Pawan Kalyan visited a hotel in Vizag. Mahesh Babu P tried very hard to meet him. After speaking to a local MLA office staff member, he finally got a call saying that dinner was being sent from home for Pawan Kalyan and he might get a chance to deliver it.
When Pawan Kalyan team mentioned that the actor would love to have bananas after his meal, Mahesh went onto the roads searching for them. It was already late in the evening, but he finally found bananas somewhere. This moment left a strong impact on him and the same situation was later recreated in the film.
The director said he wants to create more heart warming movies because audiences now want simple and pleasant stories. He hopes to explore many ideas in the future and continue making films that leave a good feeling in the hearts of viewers.
