After ‘Radhe Shyam’ pan-India star Prabhas will shoot for ‘Adipurush.’ This is a 3D action drama and adaptation of the epic Ramayana. Prabhas would be seen as Lord Rama while Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh. However, the female lead is not confirmed till date and due to this many unconfirmed reports surfaced on the media and social media.
Now an exclusive from Mumbai Mirror reveals that the actress for the Sita role in ‘Adipurush’ is locked and she is Kriti Sanon. After having her debut in Telugu with Mahesh Babu’s ‘1-Nenokkadine’ Kriti flew off to Mumbai after ‘Dohchey’ and she did not do a single Telugu movie since then. Yet Kriti has a good following among Telugu audiences. Regarding Kriti’s inclusion in Adipurush, the announcement is expected to be made in December.
Kriti is one of the busiest actresses these days in Bollywood. She has a bunch of films in pipeline yet she immediately signed ‘Adipurush’ when she was contacted. She needs to allocate a bulk of dates for this film as the Sita role is no ordinary and will have a significant role to play.
We shall wait if this is true or the makes of ‘Adipurush’ have any other heroine in mind. But as Mumbai Mirror’s exclusive feature went viral, the hashtag of #KritiSanon has been trending since Saturday morning.
Om Raut will be directing this big budget extravaganza while T-series will be bankrolling it.
