Akhanda 2, which released on Friday, is the sequel to Akhanda and banks heavily on Sanatana Dharma and patriotism as its core themes. The film opened to good box office revenues.
On Sunday, the makers held a success meet in Hyderabad, attended by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Boyapati Sreenu, Thaman, and other members of the cast and crew. They expressed their gratitude to the audience and the media for the film’s response.
Speaking at the event, Boyapati Sreenu made an interesting revelation, stating that a special screening of Akhanda 2 is being planned in Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Prime Minister has heard about the film and is keen on watching it soon. While no specific date was revealed, the team is expected to announce details shortly.
The Prime Minister of the country allocating time to watch the film is indeed a significant achievement for the team. It will be interesting to see if the screening materializes and what the Prime Minister’s response will be to the film, its actors, and the themes it explores.
