Expected Cameron for Varanasi, But Rajamouli Steps in for Avatar

Avatar: Fire and Ash is a 2025 is an epic science fiction film directed by James Cameron. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on December 19th, 2025. The film’s promotions began in India, and much to everyone’s surprise, SS Rajamouli is promoting it.

Earlier, there were speculations that James Cameron would be a part of Varanasi’s promotions. The buzz in the past revealed that Varanasi glimpse will be launched by Cameron, and he will attend a massive promotional event. However, it never happened.

Now, Cameron, who is expected to be in India for the promotions of Avatar, is not available at the moment. Instead, Rajamouli is pushing Avatar forward at the moment. Interestingly, Rajamouli might get help from Cameron in the future, for the promotion of Varanasi at the global scale. Rajamouli already watched Avatar: Fire and Ash and is kicked about the experience.

During the promotions of Avatar, Cameron said that he is looking forward to Varanasi. “Well, if I can reciprocate, when your new film is coming out to market, I would love to have a word with your team,” Cameron said, adding that he wanted to land on Rajamouli’s set one day.

Avatar 4 and Avatar 5, are in various stages of production and are scheduled to be released in 2029 and 2031, respectively.
