Vijay Deverakonda is currently shooting for a rustic rural action drama titled Rowdy Janardhana. The film is directed by Ravi Kiran Kola and produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations. It was launched in October and began regular shooting without delay. The team is wrapping the shoot in quick schedules and gearing up to release the first promotional content soon.

The makers are yet to officially announce the title. As part of this, they are releasing a title glimpse that will also reveal the lead character. The title itself suggests an intense characterization. The film stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead and is said to have strong themes revolving around love and romance.

There were reports circulating online that the Rowdy Janardhana glimpse would be released on December 18 at Prasads Multiplex in Hyderabad. However, Gulte.com has exclusively learned that the glimpse will be released on Monday, December 22, at a single-screen theatre in Hyderabad. An official announcement is expected on Thursday, December 18, marking producer Dil Raju’s birthday.

Although Vijay Deverakonda is currently shooting for two films simultaneously, one with director Rahul Sankrityan and the other with Ravi Kiran Kola, he has reportedly given priority to Rowdy Janardhana. The film is expected to be his next immediate theatrical release, eyeing a Dussehra 2026 release. With Vijay’s recent films not meeting expectations, the Rowdy Janardhana glimpse carries added responsibility to excite the audience and the trade.
