Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has shared strong views on the recent hit film Dhurandhar, calling it a true game changer for Indian cinema. In an interview with Gulte Pro, RGV said the film is not just a box office success but a phenomenon that has shaken the industry.

According to RGV, Dhurandhar works because it breaks the regular commercial formula. Instead of loud hero worship and unrealistic action scenes, the film focuses on the story. He said the hero blends into the narrative, making the film feel more real and intense.

RGV also spoke about the difference between success and impact. He pointed out that many films earn money, but very few create serious discussion. In his view, Dhurandhar is being talked about everywhere and is forcing filmmakers to rethink their approach.

The director added that the film’s strong box office performance, achieved with a controlled budget, sends a clear message from audiences. People now want logic, realism, and strong storytelling. RGV concluded by saying the old masala formula no longer works and that era is slowly coming to an end.
